Welcome to the Hertford blog.
Parking in Hertford has been a talking point for many residents and businesses for years now. One of the main bug bears of motorists parking in the council car parks is the fact there’s no pay on return parking machines.
Unfortunately that argument will continue until at least 2015, which is when the car park ticket machines can be changed due to contract constraints.
But there is another option which is certainly the future of parking, and it’s in full operational use in Hertford!
It’s called Ring Go, and you may already have seen it within the East Herts Car Parks. Essentially now, using Ring Go you’re able to park your car without needing change using simply your phone.
To set up is easy; just phone the number on the ticket machines when you arrive at your chosen car park and follow the instructions to register your car. Then you can pay by credit or debit card after selecting how many hours you intend to stay.
Each car park has a different code, so when you park at another car park, all you do is ring up, or go onto the app on your phone and enter the car park code. Ring Go will already have your card and car details saved, so it’s pretty much instant to get your parking paid for. Everything is safe and securely kept on databases, so there’s no need to worry about your details being lost.
A great feature of Ring Go, is the ability to top up your stay time whilst you’re out and about. So if you meet a friend and decide to have a spot of lunch, just phone the number or use the app and top your time up!
Ring Go is definitely a step in the right direction for parking in Hertford. It’s simple and quick to use, and means you don’t need to rush back to your car if you’re running out of time.
So enjoy your visit to Hertford more from now on and use Ring Go! For more information on Ringo please visit the website here.
