High Wycombe Cycling Club was founded in 1924 and has a rich cycling history which has produced many Champion cyclists. The club has over 290 members.
Whether you cycle competitively or you’re a spectator, our summer evening league TT racing is a great way to spend your time. Kids and pets (on a lead) are always welcome.
We offer Road racing, Mountain Bike (social or competitive), Track or Time Trail racing. HWCC caters for all cyclists from the social rider, to the weekend warrior through to those who love to race and race fast.

High Wycombe Lawn Tennis Club provides tennis and social activities for the enjoyment of all adult and junior members. The Club has six all weather, floodlit courts – 3 artificial clay and 3 astro turf – allowing play under all but the most adverse conditions. We are a friendly, welcoming club serving the High Wycombe area. We run a large number of teams in County & local competitions allowing a wide range of abilities to experience competitive play. We are very proud of our “waiting to play” system that guarantees everybody a fair share of play at club sessions.

The Liberal Club is a non-political club that was established in 1883.
Our members come from all walks of life, and continents, all are welcome.
It is easy to join the Liberal Club and it makes sense, whether you would like to come down for a friendly drink in good company, and/or you are a snooker/billiards player, darts player etc. (cards and chess sets are also available) The lunchtime food is good too. Come and have a look.

Magistrates’ courts are an important part of the justice system in England and Wales and have a history that can be traced back over 600 years.
Magistrates’ courts handle 95% of court cases in England and deal with trials mainly of a criminal nature.
Cases heard in magistrates’ courts are dealt with in two ways. Either by:
magistrates (or justices of the peace)
district judges
Magistrates usually sit in a panel of three, accompanied by a legally-qualified court clerk. Collectively they are known as a bench. These individuals are usually assigned to local justice areas; however they all follow the Magistrates’ Court Act 2003. The magistrates on a bench are unpaid, although they do receive some funding for expenses (due to loss of earnings or travel). The magistrate members of the bench are not usually legally qualified, which is why they have a legally-qualified court clerk to assist them. There are approximately 30,000 magistrates within England and Wales.
District judges must have at least two years’ experience as a deputy district judge, along with seven years’ experience as a solicitor or/and barrister. The district judges deal with complex areas of law and sit on their own, as opposed to within a panel.
