Perform Within Tylers Green Village Hall
Church Rd, High Wycombe, , HP10 8LN
very child is different and so are the things they enjoy. Some children are energetic and outgoing, others are quieter and more sensitive. Whatever your child is like, you'll know that the most important thing is that they are happy and fulfilled. Perform is a different type of drama school. We use a unique mix of drama, dance and singing - specially developed and written by us - to bring out every child's true potential. Classes are kept small to ensure lots of individual attention by our experienced teachers - hand-picked for their warmth, energy and professionalism. They'll focus on your child's enthusiasm and engagement in the activities rather than their precision and ability to learn moves. And they'll be with your child every step of the way to guide, inspire and encourage. As well as having fun at Perform, your child will enjoy real benefits: greater confidence, improved concentration and an increased awareness of what they can achieve. See more
Stagecoach High Wycombe
Wycombe High School, Marlow Rd, High Wycombe, , HP11 1TB
Stagecoach Theatre Arts is a highly regarded network of performing arts schools with a proven record of delivering quality dance, drama and singing lessons to youngsters worldwide. Over the years Stagecoach has provided a springboard for some of the UK's leading young talent and has had the privilege of watching thousands of kids grow in confidence and ability. We first opened our doors in 1988 when Stagecoach founders Stephanie Manuel and David Sprigg launched three schools in Richmond, Redhill and Woking. Their formula of teaching small classes of children an hour of dance, an hour of singing and an hour of drama on a weekly basis was an instant success. Today we continue to build on those foundations. We have a thriving network of more than 320 fun and friendly franchised performing arts schools at safe and convenient locations in the UK, and a growing presence in ten other countries. We offer brilliant kids’ parties, children’s holiday activities involving musical theatre and drama workshops, and we have our very own talent agency for children and young performers. Our goal is to inspire and enrich young people through the performing arts and introduce them to new opportunities in a happy, safe and secure environment. See more
The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts High Wycombe
Sir William Ramsey School, Rose Ave, Hazlemere, High Wycombe, , HP15 7UB
Pauline discovered acting at the age of 9 when a couple of after-school clubs were formed by local teachers. One was Country Dancing, the other was a Drama club. Not fancying Country Dancing, Pauline joined the Drama Club and has not stopped entertaining the nation since. From this start, professional work followed almost by accident. In that year, still aged 9, she was cast in her first professional role as a child arsonist in 'Dixon of Dock Green', with her career evolving from there. Pauline appeared in numerous TV programmes including her own chat show at the age of 15 entitled 'Pauline's People' and 'Pauline's Quirkes'. Subsequent productions included 'The Further Adventures of Oliver Twist', 1980's hospital drama, 'Angels', and TV series 'Shine on Harvey Moon'. See more
