For the 2nd daytime meeting for this summer, Bucks Pottery and Sculpture Society members Bronwen Corrall and Trish Hall will lead a workshop on pottery tile decoration. This will be a great way to try new techniques and ideas, plus practicing a decorating skill on a simple tile can be a useful alternative to risking the ruination of a larger piece that you have invested a lot of time in.
Tiles (both bisque and raw clay), slips and underglazes, plus tools and workboards, will be available on the day. Bring questions about how to achieve any effect in ceramics and they will try to answer them.
The meeting will be held as usual at Little Kingshill Village Hall (HP16 0DZ) on Friday 30th August from 2-4pm. Entry is free for BPSS members, £5 for visitors. Information about the Society can be found at www.buckspotters.com - we are also on Facebook and Instagram.
