Ruislip Lido planned improvements
Following a public meeting at Winston Churchill Hall, Ruislip issues have been raised regarding parking shortages at Ruislip Lido. Hillingdon Council have said at the meeting that they will invest a certain amount into restoring the Lido to its former glory.
Ideas on the agender were increasing the water levels, possible fishing facilities, revamp of the minature railway and a new boating lake.
The council have said that work should begin soon and all measures will be put in place to protect the Wildlife and greenary.
Local residents raised the issue of parking especially in the high season, with increased issues once the revamp has been finished.
Many residents have said it is even difficult for them to park due to visitors parking over the entrances to their drives.
A spokes person for the planning and community Services at Hillingdon Council has said they are looking into adding an additional 200 spaces.
