We had a great day out with the granddaughters and of course it had to start at Hamleys. We arrived quite early because we needed to be at the Albert Hall by about 2pm and so Hamleys was relatively quiet. But by the time we left it was stating to look like the Hamleys I remember – shoulder-to-shoulder.
It was then time for some lunch and then to make our way across to Cirque Du Soleil at the Albert Hall, via Buckingham Palace, the granddaughters have never seen where the queen lives. Again, we got there in good time ahead of the queues.
The setting at the Albert Hall of course was fantastic but the show as something else. You can take a look to get a feel for what the show is like on the Albert Hall's website and also Cirque Du Soleil’s YouTube space but they just can’t do justice to some of the absolutely breathtaking acts in the live show. I’m sure one the performers had no bones at all in her body to be able to get into the positions that she did and the aerial work is often a heart stopper!
If you ever get the chance then we can certainly highly recommend this show and the Cirque Du Soleil.
