The official opening of the new Town Centre Partnership/BID Business Centre, based in the heart of Hinckley on Castle Street, was well attended on the 12th February and enabled visitors to get a first hand look at this valuable resource for the town.
The business centre, which is on the second floor at 76 Castle Street, has a number of rooms that can be used in a flexible way to accommodate the TCP/BID team, host both large and small meetings, run training events/ workshops and provide quiet space for business surgeries. All of which can only add benefit to the growth and development of our town centre.
The task now is to both find out what our local businesses feel that they need to help them to increase trade and encourage local networking in support of our ‘Keep Business Local Campaign’. As a starting point the TCP/BID team have put together an initial and ambitious programme of day time clinics. All of which are FREE for anyone to attend!
The Business Development Manager - Jonathan White says “We’ve tried to put together an active, varied and useful initial programme of events for the period Mar – May 2010 but would very much welcome feedback about whether the clinics on offer are what our local businesses really need. If not then we would be more than pleased to source, arrange and accommodate other events if there is a consensus that these would better meet local needs”. Jonathan went on to say that “The primary aim of the TCP/BID is to support the businesses in the town centre and the new Hinckley Business Centre provides us with a flexible space that can act as a point of focus in the town for our business community to meet, hold events and generally use to promote the unique range of shops and businesses in the town centre”.
