Eight students of Hinckley Speech and Drama Studio (HSDS) were recently invited to attend the premiere of a film that has been made by Y4U, an organisation that works in schools to promote understanding of the issues that really matter to young people. The reason for their invitation to the premier? Quite simple really, because the Hinckley Speech and Drama Studio students were starring in it!
The film is called ‘The Beautiful Game’ and was scripted by Michelle Crook, produced by Sarah Saunders and directed by Teresa Wright (also from HSDS). It concerned sexual awareness and the peer pressure that often affects relationships during teenage years.
The film will be used, together with workshop material throughout the secondary schools in the county. For more information contact HSDS.
