MASSAGE THERAPIST – Kate Jones: specialist in sports massage.
Sports massage - You don’t need to be an athlete to benefit from this type of massage! Anyone doing continual physical work/exercise will benefit from this treatment. It can help to relieve tension within the muscular skeletal system, help reduce wear and tear on joints and is good for relieving general aches and pains that occur in daily life.
MASSAGE THERAPISTS – Talullah Lombard: can offer the following massage therapies.
Tui Na - This is the Chinese form of massage that is akin to physio therapy. It is used for medical purposes rather than relaxation and can be beneficial for people with muscular-skeletal problems, various diseases to major and minor headaches.
Thai Massage - A very relaxing massage combining yoga techniques with the massage experience.
Swedish Massage - This is good for helping to reduce joint pain and stiffness and can improve circulation. It is also known as the 'Classic' massage and combines five basic strokes, sliding or gliding, kneading, rhythmic tapping, friction and vibration/ shaking.
Hot Stone Massage - This uses heated stones to apply heat and pressure to the body combined with massage it is very effective in relieving tension.
Deep Tissue Massage - Very good for relieving severe tension in the muscles and connective tissue. It can benefit people who are in constant pain or do a lot of physical work as it focuses on the muscles below the top muscle layer.
MASSAGE THERAPIST – Peter Alison: Osteopath and specialist in baby massage.
Baby Massage - This is a specialised form of massage that draws on Osteopathic practices to help baby cry less and sleep better. It can help settle babies who suffer from colic, feeding difficulties, irritability. This massage will be carried out by our fully certified Cranial Osteopath.
MASSAGE THERAPISTS – Sarah Patel and Talullah Lombard also offer the following massage therapies.
Pregnancy Massage - This incorporates a combination of Aromatherapy massage, Indian Head massage and Reflexology and is very beneficial for expectant Mums after the first trimester of pregnancy. Not only will it help reduce aches and pains associated with being pregnant, it can also help reduce sickness and is a great way to start the bonding process with your new bundle of joy.
Aromatherapy Massage - This is a relaxing and therapeutic massage using essential oils which depending on which oils are used has a different effect on the recipient. Chamomile, Lavender and Geranium all have calming qualities. Ylang Ylang, Rose and Neroli have uplifting qualities and Rosemary is good for energising and cleansing. Eucalyptus, Pine and Tea Tree all act decongestants.
Indian Head Massage - An extremely relaxing massage concentrating on the neck, head and face and using pressure points on the scalp and face to drain tension. It can be very effective in the relief of headaches and sinus problems.
Reflexology - Is a type of massage, or rather pressure application to the hands and more usually the feet. Reflexology is based on the principle that there are reflexes in the hands and feet that relate to every organ, gland and system of the body. It can help with insomnia, headaches and migraine, stress and tension, PMS hormone imbalance and pregnancy symptoms, digestive disorders and high blood pressure, general aches and pains resulting from everyday living.
