Although it didn’t manage to achieve the celebration of champion beer of the festival, which went to Blue Monkey of Ilkeston, our barrel - St Austell Tribute (4.2%) was certainly ‘thebest’ beer in our view (see photograph below).

The Festival was a great success, with around 1,100 passing through the doors over the three day festival and with some coming from as far afield as Cumbria to sample the ales. The festival was opened by George Chuter, who lives in Burbage, and is a hooker with Leicester Tigers. The second photograph below shows the star player George with Festival organiser Bill Smith (left) and David Finn (CAMRA Branch Chairman).

Congratulations must go to the Hinckley & Bosworth branch of CAMRA for organising such a successful, enjoyable and trouble free festival in celebration of real ale.
/2d7bdbf9-619f-4639-8605-72f8378907f4.jpg/a7467087-dc73-4249-8ff6-3fb161bcb3b6.jpg
