We've had Independents Day and the Hitchin Market Gala Day in the last couple of weeks to keep us all busy and shopping locally. But it's also been a busy year across the town, with lots going on.
What's been your special moment?
Did you move to Hitchin in 2014?
Did you go to Rhythms of the World for the first time? (or just the first time since THAT wet festival in 2012?)
Did you march to save Top Field?
Did you notice lots of new shops and tea shops opening?
If you have a favourite photo of 2014, send it to us and tell us what Hitchin means to you.
For me, it was seeing how much support the community gives to issues it gets behind. Apart from the 1,300 people marching through the town to help save Top Field from property developers, one of the biggest moments came when NHDC had to back down on plans to overhaul car parking charges in the town.
So, what's your Hitchin moment of 2014?
(Thanks to Peter Else for his picture - maybe that's his moment?)
Writer and sax player. Brought up in Hitchin and - apart from uni and some ensuing madness of life in London - I've always lived here.
