The 'Heart of Hitchin' 'bags for life' have sold well and are now in their third re-printed edition. With support from local retailers the first batch of 250 sold out within two weeks in early November, and the next 250 special edition gift bags are also gone. They have raised a large sum to help support St Mary's Church.
The 'Classic' version of the Jute shopping bags is currently on sale all over town at £6. Brookers, Hawkins, Hitchin Initiative, Hitchin Dry Cleaners in Bancroft, Rubarb Boutique, Rosita Lollipop, Wakelins Coffee stall on the market, and Charles Wilson Carpets are all stocking the bags.
