The Sir John Barleycorn has been a popular 'local' for many years and its closure last summer was a sad day.
Now it looks as if it's on the market again and in a sorry state.
The pub was granted status as a Community Asset back in November 2013, which means it can only be a pub for the next five years. Is that enough time for a saviour to be found?
Meanwhile, the Live and Let Live on the Barton Road also faces an uncertain future.
A campaign hopes to save it, by making it a co-operative enterprise.
Might a similar campaign save the Barleycorn?
