The Market Square was a hive of activity throughout Saturday, with food to sample while The Sun Hotel hosted a wine tasting.
With fundraising for the Philippines Typhoon appeal, The Rotary Club of Hitchin Tilehouse put on a great event that brought peope - and kept them - in the town centre.
Wine tasting master classes were laid on for the less experienced, with exhibitors from local businesses and further afield.
Some of our favourite local food brands were on display in the Market Square, including Cantina Carnitas, Hitchin Bakehouse and Wobbly Bottom Farm. Many of the local pubs and restaurants also got involved, with samples of their food and special offers for visitors.
There was so much to see and taste and music provided throughout the day. All in all, a great demonstration of what Hitchin does when everyone comes together.
Can't wait to see how much was raised for the appeal.
Writer and sax player. Brought up in Hitchin and - apart from uni and some ensuing madness of life in London - I've always lived here.
