For the fourth year in a row the Hitchin Hard Half Marathon started and finished in the grounds of Hitchin Priory.
It's been around for a lot longer though, you can read the full history www.h3m.co.uk
Having missed last year through injury I decided to run two half marathons in three weeks.
So, having conquered St Albans half marathon (highly recommended and challenging event) I was really looking forward to a gentle trot around the Hertfordshire countryside.
It was a bit on the warm side for me at 17 degrees at the gun and humid but the predicted rain was most welcome and so came in at a respectable (for me) 1:50 47.
Always time for a few 'selfies' though and plenty more pics can be found at hertfordshiremercury.co.uk
Anyway enough waffle from me, to see the results go to www.stuweb.co.uk
All in all a big 'well done' to Hitchin Tilehouse Rotary for orgainising the event, with the help of their local sponsors
A special mention to Hair by Talents for their efforts and support in making the whole event an absolute joy. All proceeds went to British Schools Museum.
See you all next year
