What would you do with £400 to spend in Hitchin? You can treat yourself to that new outfit, have a lovely meal, pamper yourself! The list is endless & thanks to Hitchin businesses this Christmas it is all possible.
Hitchin are launching a Shopping trail to give 3 local shoppers a chance to win over £400 of gift vouchers to be used in local stores. This Christmas 3 shoppers will be in with an exclusive chance to win £400 worth of vouchersas part of a new Shopping trail launched by local independent businesses and supported by thebestof hitchin, Hitchin Bid and The Comet.
26 businesses have joined together to give shoppers a fantastic chance to win vouchers this festive season. To be in with the chance to win, you first need to pick up a Shopping Trail Map that you can get in The Comet Newspaper on 22nd November or pick up at any of the participating businesses. Then all you need to do is visit each of the businesses on the Trail Map, between Friday 23rd November and Friday 21 December 2012, to get your map stamped.
You don’t need to buy anything to collect your stamps, just visit the businesses and say hi.
The Independent Shopping Trail is part of a nationwide initiative, launched by Independent Retailer Month, which aims to boost footfall on high streets up and down the country. Locally the campaign is supported by 26 businesses and organisations as well as Hitchin Bid, The Comet Newspaper and Thebestof Hitcin who helped to put the local Hitchin campaign together.
Louise Yexley from TheBestof Hitchin commented: “We’re distributing trail maps to local homes via The Comet Newspaper and there will be 1000 printed so if you don't get The Comet, you can pick one up from any of the businesses on the trail, as well as from the Hitchin Initiative Office in Churchyard Hitchin and Hitchin Library.
Once you’ve collected all your stamps, all you need to do is fill in your details on the back of the map and hand it in to thebestof hitchin c/o Hitchin Library in Paynes Park by 4th January 2013 to be in with a chance to win.
The prize will be drawn week commencing 7th January 2013, and will be a mixture of vouchers from the businesses taking part. The total pot is £1250 worth of vouchers that will be divided up between 3 lucky winners who will be notified by the contact details they include on their submitted forms.
