We're fortunate to have a historic building that's also a thriving visitors' centre, right in the heart of Hitchin. This Saturday, volunteers manned stalls to raise funds for the charity - which earlier in the year proved its popularity by being voted one of the most popular museums in the country.
As well as stalls, games and refreshments, there were morris dancers and a collection of historic vehicles on display.
The emphasis was on audience participation with the dancing and the sunshine brought the crowds out.
We're fortunate in having such a great museum on our doorstep and once the cash is counted, it should have been a good day. If you've never been inside the building, take a look at the website and book a day off!
