Hundreds cam and enjoyed the fun and watched fitness demonstrations through Saturday.
Organised by Michelle and the team from Pilates Pod, there were demonstrations from various fitness providers and a range of stalls including face paints and food and drink. It was a great chance to try some new tastes and some favourites from great local businesses.
One of the attractions was the Pilates Pod's own reformer bench and Michelle and the team were on hand to introduce even the least fit to its benefits. The business - also on Bancroft - is just celebrating its third birthday.
As part of Hitchin Festival, the event was organised by Michelle to help introduce locals to the range of fitness opportunities available around the town.
Michelle's always loved bandstands, and the one in Bancroft Gardens is a particularly fine one. It's good to see that space being used for something so positive.
It takes a lot to organise an event like this and Michelle and her volunteers deserve a huge pat on the back. Here's to more events in the last week of the Hitchin Festival calendar and to a successful second Hitchin Fitness Festival in 2015.
