At lunchtime on Friday 13 March, a gaggle of musicians from Hitchin Boys' School entertained with a series of musical performances.
Having just finished their Music Competition, the boys were well-rehearsed and the bucket was passed around for donations.
Specsavers in the town was selling ridiculous glasses, all in a good cause.
A gig at Club 85 last night added to the town's total with a bucket going round.
More news to come on how much was raised around the town in total, but with so many people and organisations joining in, it looks like a big contibution to the charity's £1bn total over its 30 years.
