Development in Hitchin - Hitchin Forum has objected to the application to redevelop the former bus depot on Fishponds Road due to the poor design proposed and traffic problems that might occur. Flats are also proposed on the old bus garage in Bridge Street. It is felt that the developer has not taken into account the style of the area and will build flats which are totally out of character. What do you think? Does parts of Hitchin need re-development regardless of what it looks like? I personally like the character of the town but am well aware that more housing is needed.
