20 Years of Hospice Care
Garden House is a charity providing specialist care to those who are affected by a life-limiting illness. We serve the communities of Stevenage, Hitchin, Baldock, Letchworth, Royston and the surrounding villages. All our services are free of charge providing care and support for patients, families and carers wherever it is needed- in the day hospice, the in-patient unit, or at home.
Our philosophy is to improve our patient’s quality of life and help them to live their lives with dignity by bringing together the emotional and physical aspects of care.
Our Vision is to ensure the people of our community can access specialist care in the way that is most suited to their individual needs and to offer support through to end of life.annual event to help us raise these much- needed funds.
To keep the Hospice doors open for those who need our care we must raise in excess of £1 million each and every year. Our ‘Starlight Walk’ is our biggest annual event to help us raise these much- needed funds.
At Midnight on 4th September 2010 Garden House are to invite 800 ladies to take part in a 10 or 6 mile sponsored walk leaving from the North Herts Leisure Centre. The walk will surround the Hospice with support by taking our ladies on a circular route around Letchworth.
