On Sunday 18 October from 10am until noon, teams of people will be helping tidy up all over Hitchin - and you can join in.
Last year, the Big Tidy Up around the country collected nearly 4,000 bags of litter and the April event in Hitchin resulted in more than 100 bin bags from 17 locations.
Not all rubbish is dropped wantonly - some blows out of bins or our own recycling boxes. We can all do our bit.
There's a lot of work going on around the town to make it tidier, including great new recycling bins, so there's really no excuse!
If you can spare an hour or two on Sunday, just email the team: litter@hitchinforum.org.uk
