Remember the Mercedes showroom on Queen Street? It's been empty for several years and now The Car Agent is setting up its own independent dealership in sports, prestige and classic cars.
"Clients want more from us and now we're giving them more," says principal consultant Simon Michell.
"We've been able to show customers pictures of cars before they take them out and soon they'll be able to sit in them in our showroom. the coming months will be busy for us, because as well as opening up here, we're running a promotion on 1 February in Market Place, showing off some of our best cars."
The Car Agent has always had some beautiful cars and this move takes them into the new car business, with a wide range of prestige brands.
"We're a local, family-run business and we'll be offering a one-stop shop for new and pre-owned car sales, regular servicing and valeting and tyres. We have a range of monthly deals to make it simple for owners to take care of their beloved cars."
With work progressing well on refurbishing the showroom - which will act as an additional site to the autolounge, rather than a replacement - in March there will be state of the art workshops, as well as inviting customer areas with music and lighting.
