After what seems like weeks of rain (and actually has been weeks of rain), the sun came out today and promised more great weather for this exciting month ahead.
It was a lovely evening for the Priory Picnic, which saw groups of young musicians from across North Herts performing to a packed field.
The event finished with a stunning firework display and the rain held off for the whole evening.
We are immensely fortunate to have such talented youngsters, supportive parents and talented teachers in the area. It's not the same everywhere and the music was - as always - of an incredibly high standard.

Don't forget that there'll be sport everywhere next week in Hitchin on Saturday 7 July and Sunday 8 July, http://www.gohitchin.org.uk/ and with the Olympic torch going through Letchworth, Graveley and Stevenage on the Sunday. This month promises to be a full and active one for our town - get involved!
