We're in the middle of #SCOUTitOUT fortnight and you can't have missed the scout scarves (known as 'kneckers') in many of our shop windows.
The aim of the fortnight, which runs until 21 June, is to show how much scouting has to offer our local community and also to recruit some new adult volunteers.
Saturday brought a climbing wall, kayaks and even a camp fire to the town centre.
More than 800 young people (yes, it includes girls now) and adults take part in activities run by 15 Scout groups in the Hitchin District.
Scouts is the UK's largest mixed youth organisation and it certainly gives yougseters skills they probably couldn't learn anywhere else.
It's a great way to make friends, have fun, get outdoors adn take part in some challenging activities.
