Children of all ages can get involved in the Summer Reading Challenge at Hitchin Library.
The event launches on Sunday 16 July and this year it's celebrating the works of Road Dahl, 100 years after his birth.
There's evidence to show that children can lose their reading skills over the six weeks of the summer holidays. Help them choose six books instead and maintain that important ability.
Prizes can be won by those who read the most books and tell the team of staff and volunteers about them at the library.
Watch out, too, for refurbishment plans for the library this autumn.

Writer and sax player. Brought up in Hitchin and - apart from uni and some ensuing madness of life in London - I've always lived here.
