When the snow and ice hits, do we have a responsibility to keep the pavements clear? Is it just something that is nice to do as a local resident?
Hertfordshire County Council recently said it welcomed advice from the government that residents who cleared snow from outside their properties could not be sued for any injuries.
I, for one, will be throwing down some salt if the snow hits us this week or next, as forecast. What will you do?
Will you check on your neighbours to make sure that they're all right if temperatures drop again? Offer to do their shopping?
