But the summer has been an exciting one, with a visit from the Queen, a near-miss from the torch, which skirted the edges of Hitchin and a hugely successful and creative festival.

I haven't spoken to anyone who thinks that a superstore - Tesco or anything else - would be a good thing on the corner opposite Butts Close, but someone somewhere does. There's an opportunity here to support our local football club, which in itself is a good thing.
