A series of street surveys are being carried out in Hitchin town centre to assess the state of the street environment.
Hitchin Town Action Group is organising the surveys following a public meeting last autumn when the poor state of paving and street furniture was highlighted as giving a poor impression to visitors.
There will be a walkabout to identify areas that need attention, whether it is replacement or painting or repair.
HTAG brings together four organisations - Hitchin Initiative, The Hitchin Society, Hitchin Historical Society and Hitchin Forum - for joint working on local issues.
The surveys will take place from 2pm on Sunday 27 April and Wednesday 14 May.
You can join one of the surveys or report areas of concern. Just email hitchintag@gmail.com or contact the Town Centre Manager's office on 01462 453335.
