Hitchin’s Dr Hadwen Trust's first charity shop in historic Churchyard is already a hit with Hitchin shoppers and the charity is keen to recruit an apprentice deputy shop manager.
Shop manager, Naomi Green, and her team of volunteers, run the first vegan shop for a national charity, aligning with the charity’s position in funding cruelty-free medical research.
Kay Miller, the chariity's Group Head of Operations, said: "From the beginning we wanted to break the usual charity shop mould, so our shop design is innovative and ground-breaking, which mirrors the research which we fund.
"It is important to us that we engage with the local community, and we believe that our apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity for a local school-leaver who would like to take a first step into retail management."
The opportunity with the DHT is open to young people aged 18-24.
