This Sunday - 5 May - sees Hitchin Forum's big campaign to get Hitchin looking its best. Want to get involved?
It really is down to all of us to help make a difference. If every one of us picked up one piece of litter this weekend, there'd be a noticeable difference. Sometimes it's just been blown out of a paper recycling box and other times it's been dropped out of laziness.
Individuals and groups are getting involved. Priory School has a team of 20 students and two teachers and the whole school has got behind the project.
Our town centre is kept pretty clean by the NHDC and BID teams, but there are lots of areas that need sprucing up.
If the sun continues to shine and you're walking around our area - keep your eyes peeled and bin a bit of litter. Even if it wasn't you that dropped it in the first place.
For more information about plans and how you can join in, visit the Hitchin Forum website or email litter@hitchinforum.org.uk
