Nicola at the white wardrobe is fantastic ! She's brilliant at knowing what suits and flatters all shapes and sizes and has some beautiful dresses to choose from . She went out over her way to get my bridesmaids dresses at short notice and was very sympathetic to my family and I as we lost my nanny a week before my wedding . The shop is full of beautiful bits and I've already lent out a stunning headband to two of my friends who have recently got married . In short , I couldn't recommend Nicola and the white wardrobe highly enough xxx

The personal service is second to none ... Nicola adapts and adjusts her own opinions to suit what you want but is also not afraid to offer suitable alternatives if she thinks it's needed. She educates you along the way helping you see why you like what you see and why you don't leading you to the perfect solution. I would definitely buy from her again and again and again!! xx

Our grandchildren aged 5 and 7 love visiting the British Schools Museum during the school holidays. There are lots of interesting activities for them to take part in, like toy- making. I wish museums had been like this in my day!

Me and my partner thought that this was an excellent museum and definitely worth a visit if you are in hitchin or even the hertfordshire area! It is within a beautiful building which looks deceivingly small from the outside but that is actually hiding hours of interesting and exciting rooms and buildings. The staff are clearly dedicated to the museum and obviously love their job which makes it even more pleasurable to experience. There is a small little cafe on site where you can have a nice cup of tea and a snack.

Two or three hours to spare ? Then visit this unique museum and be taken back in time, the headmasters house is a must and finish with a cup of tea in the cafe.

This museum is more than a museum; it is an experience. Not only can you tour classrooms, from an enormous monitorial schoolroom, to a galleried classroom, to a wartime classroom, but you can also take part in lessons on certain days. Our grandchildren love dressing up in Victorian aprons or collars and enjoy trying out slates and dipping pens. The volunteers are really friendly and welcoming, and they clearly feel passionate about the museum. They all seem very knowledgable. You get a good cuppa in the cafe too!

It has to be the staff who definitely reflect the enthusiasm of the manager. A museum can be just a petrified shadow of the things preserved within, but here the place hums with the blood of the staff.
