Dr Hadwen Trust is a dedicated charity who are consistently raising awareness for alternatives to cruel animal experimentation. They are committed in funding for non-animal medical research and regularly update their website with news and progress regarding this research.
They have many supporters who do all they can in helping raise money and awareness. Their website is very helpful and offer many ways to get in contact and help out.
Their enthusiasm and passion for their cause really shines through. They are a fantastic charity and deserve as much help as possible in order to carry out their search for an end to animal testing.

The Dr Hadwen Trust are doing a magnificent job in bringing medical research into the 21st century. Their work is based on humane research which benefits humans and animals too. They have funded projects in some of the most advanced techniques relevant to humans including cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, asthma, kidney, heart and liver disease.
It is a fact that millions of animals are experimented on, in the UK (and worldwide) every year, yet it is widely known that animal tests are totally misleading because for every 10 tests which pass successfully on animals, 9 fail on humans. All different species can react differently to the same chemical and furthermore even results within one species can vary enormously when tests are applied to different breeds, ages and gender.
With such an appalling failure rate of medical research based on animal tests when applied to the human species it does not come as a surprise that in the UK there are 10000 deaths every year as a direct result of adverse drug reactions (BMJ 2004). Across Europe the figure is 197,000 deaths every year (European Commission, Brussels Memo, Dec 2008).
For medical research to be effective for humans we need it to be relevant to the human species and the Dr Hadwen Trust are leaders in such innovative research.

Thankfully, there are now many thousands of us, throughout the world, who hope and pray everyday of our lives for the end of animal experimentation. Thanks to the Dr Hadwen Trust, who funds more reliable medical research without the use of any animal, we can keep that dream alive ! Thank you, dear Walter Hadwen, for the creation of this Trust's foundations all those years ago for we ,like you, believe in a more compassionate and loving world for all those abused creatures who share our planet ! Thank you, too, to everyone within the Trust, who one day will make this wonderful man's dreams (and ours) come true !!

If you respect animals, but also want to help people resist and recover from illnesses, then the Dr Hadwen Trust for Humane Research is the charity that needs to be loved the most. The DHT has done more than any other charity in history to support medical research that doesn’t require the use of animals and is more human-relevant. That’s got to be the best thing ever for all animals, including us humans. With patrons such as Dame Judi Dench, Joanna Lumley, Brian May and the late Sir Patrick Moore, the DHT has raised the profile of this issue to the point that it has recently been able to create the first Professorial Chair in animal replacement science. The charity’s ongoing achievements are a testament to the determination of the DHT team to advance medical science without harming or exploiting animals. This is what I love about the Dr Hadwen Trust.

I love the Trust because they work so hard to stop animal suffering in laboratories, they're the respected & informed voice animals need to help them. They fund many projects all around the UK to prove the need for animals in laboratories has reached its end & can no longer be tolerated by the modern so called civilised world in its search for solutions to treatments/cures for health problems.

The Dr Hadwen Trust is a fabulous charity. Up and down the UK, in so-called 'scientific experiments', animals are being made to suffer for nothing. Not only are the outcomes of animal experiments frequently irrelevant to human conditions but ALTERNATIVES TO ANIMAL EXPERIMENTATION ARE NOW AVAILABLE IN VIRTUALLY EVERY FIELD OF MEDICAL RESEARCH. THANKS LARGELY TO THE DR HADWEN TRUST — must be the “best loved” charity in Hitchin — benefits humans AND animals!
