The Chiswick Pier Trust invite you to join Mr. Toad, Badger, Ratty, and Mole down by the river on Sunday 21st December at 3.30pm for a theatrical story-telling and interactive production of The Wind in the Willows by Wild Ivy theatre company.
The show will take place in the Pier House with the River Thames as backdrop seen through the three sets of French doors of the hall. Here you will be able to follow the antics of the irrepressible Toad and his friends told through colourful and lively story telling and song. Although recommended for ages five and up, this will be a nostalgic, festive treat for the whole family.
Wild Ivy produces adaptations of classic literature aimed at engaging family audiences with the rich cultural heritage of British and European storytellers and writers, making these much loved stories accessible for children. It is based in West London and founded by co-directors Lucy Harwood and Emily Slater. You can follow them @wildivy_theatre
The performance will take place in the Chiswick Pier House, Corney Reach Way, London W4 2UG Tel: 020 8742 2713. Tickets are just £5 each for members of the Chiswick Pier Trust or £8 each for non-members. Children must be accompanied by adults. Doors open at 3pm and the performance will start at 3.30pm and finish around 4.20pm. Refreshments will be available to purchase.
