In this blog, we've put the spotlight on Joseph Marshall, a business member of The Best of Hounslow Borough.
Joseph is a music teacher providing lessons for Piano, Saxophone and Clarinet covering a range of musical styles including Jazz, Classical and Popular music. In addition, Joseph is also a member of local band Momentum that performs regularly across West London.
We asked Joseph about his own music training and his love of teaching "I studied at the London College of Music for three years and I now have many years experience and teach all styles from the classics to Jazz. I enjoy teaching all ages from five years upwards. I love to teach my students from beginners and take them up to diploma level and even help them prepare for their exam or recital."
Joseph is also a sax teacher and the Jazzband director at Gunnersbury School in Brentford, Piano teacher at ISL in West London and piano/clarinet teacher at Addison Primary School.Joseph is a classically-trained pianist, who studied at the London College of Music.
In addition to teaching he created his group, Ramajaz and they made 2 albums called "Anjuna" and "Chennai Flamenco". His latest band is Momentum and they have released their first album, "Acton to New York!", now they are recording their 2nd album, "Funkadelique".
Joseph is very enthusiastic about live music and explained, "I love playing live with my band Momentum and we have regular gigs around West London. We recently played at the famous Bull's Head in Barnes where many of the jazz greats have performed, that was a special night! We also play regularly at private events where we tailor our set to suit the audience, whether itâs a business function or a wedding."
Joseph has been known to blow his own trumpet at networking events (or usually his saxophone) to illustrate in lovely tones what his businesses offer!
