A Magic Lantern Show, starring Peppers Ghost, is being performed on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th November aboard the sailing barge Victor, which is moored on the Waterfront outside the Old Custom House.

This year's show, in film, words and music, is themed 'Transport of Yesteryear'.

Peppers Ghost is a group of actor/musicians who perform shows, in period costume, from the Victorian era, which include music, songs, monologues and comic entertainment with turn of the century humour.

The whole show is set to a back drop of glass slides of original period photographs and lithographs projected by a 'Magic Lantern'. This is the second year that Captain of the Victor, David 'Wes' Wesley, has invited Peppers Ghost to perform their show on his vessel. Their first shows were such a success that Wes is pleased they will be bringing their new show to town.

The Victor will be transformed into a floating theatre for the two nights. Victor was built in Ipswich in 1895 and is exactly the era to make the show, in her cosy polished wood saloon, extra special.

Tickets for the show cost £10 each and are available, along with further details, from Ipswich Tourist Information Centre, St Stephen's Church, St Stephen's Lane. Telephone 01473 258070 or email tourist@ipswich.gov.uk.

The show starts at 7.30pm each evening and the doors open at 6.45pm. Victor has a fully licensed bar.
