Greenpeace UK - Charity reliant on donations
Greenpeace is a charitable organisation that stands for positive change through action. We have a duty of care for the natural world and promote peace.
Greenpeace charity investigates, exposes and confronts environmental abuse by governments and corporations around the world.
We champion environmentally responsible and socially just solutions. Your donations help in carrying out this work.
Our goal as a charity is to use your donations to ensure the ability of the earth to nurture life in all its diversity.
Your charity donations are used to organise public campaigns to prevent climate change, to protect oceans and forests, we work to eliminate the use of toxic chemicals, we work to stop the release of genetically modified organisms into nature and for nuclear disarmament.
Our policy towards charity donations
Greenpeace does not solicit or accept donations or funding from governments, donations from corporations or political parties. Greenpeace neither seeks nor accepts donations which could compromise our independence, aims, objectives or integrity. Greenpeace relies on the voluntary charitable donations of individual supporters.
How your donations have helped our charity work
As a charity, Greenpeace has played a pivotal role in, amongst other things, the adoption of a ban on toxic waste exports to less developed countries, a moratorium on commercial whaling and a ban on all nuclear weapons testing.
None of these successes would have been possible without the money donated by our supporters - We always put your charity donation to good use.
We rely on the generous financial help and care of our supporters and their donations.
