Easter weekend around Islington.
Good afternoon Islington, I hope everyone is looking forward to having a nice 4 day break from the stresses and strains of life. For those of you who’ll be hanging around Islington here are a few ideas and things to do to keep both yourself and any little ones occupied over this long weekend.
So first up here are some thing to do for the younger ones.
Probably the best thing to take children to this Easter break is actually next week on the 11th and 12th of April. At the N1 centre there going to be a petting Zoo with lots of furry fun from Meerkats to Tarantulas although you may not want to pet the Tarantulas.
At the 12 Islington adventure playgrounds you’ll be able to take advantage of free and safe play for children over the easter weekend and during the break. There’ll be play schemes fun days and easter themed crafts. Have a look here for details of Islington councils Easter active programme. It caters for all types of activities.
Starting tomorrow there are Funs session at Archway Leisure Centre, Safari Soft Play at Sobell and Inflatable fun sessions at Cally Pool all of which run until the 14th April all great for keeping your kids active and occupied over the holidays. You can find more details here on Islington Councils events page
April 15th there’s a Easter Egg Treasure hunt at Islington Museum which is a great way to have fun and learn at the same time.
Right that’s enough ideas for the kids I think so here are a few of the things that are going on around Islington this easter for those of you who fancy something a bit more grown up. At Sadlers Wells you have Mardis Gras which runs from Sunday till Monday and the details here
For some live music here’s who’s playing at some of the live venues around Islington.
Lexington Friday – Black Summer
Garage Saturday – Dead Swan farewell gig
Union Chapel Saturday – Daylight Music: Matthew Bourne + Alphabet Backwards + Owl Mouse – Free
Hope everyone has a great easter and have a look at the events page for other thing that are on this weekend
