Had a fabulous breakfast at the café before entering the zoo.
Helped that it was a lovely sunny day, if a little chilly.

Spent a great day exploring the zoo and learning about Gerald Durrell's work. Loved seeing the animals and especially enjoyed chatting with one of the volunteers who told us all about the gorillas as well as other information on the zoo and Jersey life; everyone was really helpful and friendly. As a wheelchair user the zoo was mostly accessible with just a couple of inclines to tackle. Well worth a visit.

Nice zoo, small but with lots of nice animals. (You can spend a few hours there if you just look at everything quietly) Unfortunately, some animals were well hidden (such as the meerkats/meerkats). Also plenty of space for children to play and have a picnic. At certain times, animals are fed and a keeper tells an interesting story. The adjacent café serves tasty and fresh sandwiches and pastries.
Tip: we came from the west and that bus did not exactly reach the zoo. So we decided to walk the last 1.5 km. DANGEROUS! You are walking along a busy road without a shoulder or sidewalk. It is better to transfer to a line that goes there (at least 3 bus lines)

The Jersey Zoo seems to focus on the comfort of animals. Shy species like the Aye Aye are well shielded from view and can only be seen when they feel like it. Durell also makes a significant conservation effort to the wellbeing of many species displayed there( and not ).
I don't hesitate to recommend a visit here.
