My husband and I caught the bus to hellier bus station. From there we caught the number 13 bus, but there are other buses, but it depends on what bus gets there first when you look at the bus timetable. It is a lovely bus journey to get to the zoo. The zoo has its own WiFi where you can download the app for the map. The zoo has got so many endangered animals there where they are looked after really well. The history is Gerald Durrell story is very interesting. We arrived there at midday and we left at 4.20 pm where we caught the bus back to hellier bus station. Then from there caught another bus back to our accommodation using a bus transfer for both journeys.

Interesting and well done. The tour is in English and the staff will answer your questions in their native language.Visited on

The zoo is really beautifully laid out, more like a large jungle park with enclosures that fit wonderfully into the natural landscape. There are opportunities for a picnic and spacious meadows everywhere.
Unfortunately the playground was closed due to renovations, our children were a bit disappointed.
The zoo focuses on animal species that are threatened with extinction; there are various species of monkeys, many birds and also some amphibians and reptiles to admire. The giant tortoises were impressive.
You can stay in the zoo for about 3-4 hours and then you've seen everything.
However, we found the price level to be too high for what was on offer. We paid £53 entry for two adults and a 3 year old child.

It was alright, nothing special really, in fairness it was raining so the animals weren't going outside, I don't blame them!Visited on

Wonderful day out, got the no3 bus from the station, lots of things for the kids and adults, would happily recommend it as a place to go wheelchair friendly but if your going to the cafe and sit outside with food the seagulls are likely to hassle youVisited on

I think the price for the entry ticket is expansive. The restaurant/cafe is also expansive (no reason for such an expansive prices). The zoo is just less than normal. It is green but nothing special about it. I would say the way how they advertise for the Zoo in Jersey is quite misleading.Visited on

This place has some major changes though some areas could use a little tlc. The shop didn't have as much variety as previous visits but the addition of the charity shop was a good idea. Still enjoyed the visit but was saddened by the news of the death of 1 of their gorillas. Still a good place to introduce children to global wildlifeVisited on

Brilliant zoo with very well kept animals. Lots of information about the Durell family. Make sure you make a note of the feeding times and visit each animal enclosure when these are on.Visited on

Beautiful surroundings and fascinating exhibition about Gerald Durrell. The keeper talk we heard was good. The only drawback is we couldn't see quite a lot of the animals due to the natural (ie thickly overgrown) environments they are kept in. I know, I know... but it is a zoo!Visited on

We haven't visited a zoo for many years.... simply not our thing, but a friend told us about Jersey. The zoo was fab. The staff giving the talks were great, particularly the tortoise 🐢 enclosure (Sam) and the Orangutan talk. Nice to see people so passionate about their rolesVisited on
