Great experience. Not like a normal zoo at all and more a conservation site. Amazing gorilla enclosure

Thoughtfully designed and informative day out for anyone with an interest in wildlife conservation. The grounds are pleasant to stroll in, and the cafe serves good food and remarkably large scones. It can become an expensive trip if you're in a group, but you can easily spend the full day here, making the most of the keepers talks. Lovely flock of flamingos. One quibble...if there's a commitment to environment and reducing use of plastic, please don't stock the gift shop with cheap plastic toys that get children into the habit of buying (often plastic) things they don't need, which soon end up in the bin.

My hubby and I, were spending a week in St helier. And jersey zoo was on the top of my list of places visit. It's great for all age groups. We seemed to be there at the right time. When most of the animals were being fed. A big thank you to all staff for their dedication and care towards all animals.

Childhood dream. I read all of Darrell back in elementary school and even then I promised myself to come here. And now it came true. The zoo is small. You can walk around the whole place calmly and slowly in 3-4 hours. There are no “popular” animals (elephants, giraffes, hippos,...) here. There are only rare and endangered species here. Near each enclosure there is an information sign showing the level of risk for a given animal. Gorillas and orangutans are magnificent. Watching them is very interesting and funny. I also liked the pavilion with butterflies. And lemurs. Well, for Darrell fans there is a small museum. In general, I recommend it.
