JMCo, which many people may still know as Jersey Monumental, is a truly local business with an enviable reputation for great craftsmanship. Its roots in Jersey go back to 1872 and after more than 60 years at 82 New Street now operates from a spacious site at La Collette with loads of customer parking spaces. The family of the current Managing Director, Mark Reynolds has controlled the business since 1952. Their predecessors proudly supplied memorials for the local community, using local granite or marble from Italy. Today, the company continues to build on this tradition of excellence but with a vastly expanded range of products and services available to their valued Jersey customers.

Much has changed over the years and while technology has taken the hard work out of cutting stone the most important things have been handed on. The skill to cut stone by hand for example, as well as pride in looking after the very individual needs of customers and a passion about the magnificence of the finished products.

Monumental Masons & Memorials

JMCo's expertise and experience is second to none in Jersey. Since 1872, when F J Carter was founded, it has supplied memorials to the local community and still does, now trading under the JMCo banner. Memorials are its heritage. Access to modern technology enhances the company's capabilities but does not replace the traditional skill of hand cutting letters into granite and marble. Customers may wish to choose from the traditional range but JMCo is also able to design and cut stone into any shape. The staff are familiar with the regulations of each parish cemetery and churchyard and also renovate, clean and re-cut worn lettering on existing memorials.

In addition JMCo  still cuts Marriage Stones and House Names into Granite or other natural stone of your choice.
