La Mare Wine Estate is Jersey’s only working vineyard. The Estate comprises an eclectic mix of authentic Jersey buildings and beautiful gardens and the Vineyard Restaurant and Terrace.

La Mare Wine Estate’s story began in 1972, when the first vine was planted. Since then, the Estate has matured and developed into a six acre commercial vineyard, distillery and Vineyard Restaurant. 

The Vineyard Restaurant is the perfect location for summer alfresco dining, enjoying stunning views across the vines, for morning coffee, lunch, or afternoon tea.

The Vineyard Restaurant is open 10am to 5pm Wednesday – Sunday, serving a range of delicious hot and cold light lunches including traditional sandwiches, salads, and platters as well as some sweet treats to please all taste buds. Relax Alfresco

The Vineyard Restaurant sits in the beautiful grounds of La Mare Wine Estate. It's bright and fresh atmosphere, with a large sunny terrace overlooking the lush, green vines and orchards creates an idyllic country setting for a summer afternoon relaxing with friends and family.  

Afternoon Tea

A firm favourite with locals and tourists alike, the La Mare Afternoon Tea is served daily between 12pm & 4:30pm. 

“Made with love using the finest award winning, home made produce, your afternoon tea includes four finger sandwiches, a selection of finger cakes, a large homemade scone, Jersey Black Butter chutney, our own delicious strawberry jam and clotted cream.”

Since the first vineyards were planted, their production line has rapidly expanded. La Mare Wine Estate’s winemaker Daniel de Carteret is passionate about making unique and excellent wines under the La Mare Wine Estate brand, and their range now includes red, white, rosé and sparkling wines.

La Mare Wine Estate have been awarded for their handcrafted local produce as well as for their business and Green Tourism credentials:

La Mare Black Butter was awarded 2 gold stars and Cider Mustard awarded 1 gold star from the prestigious and independent Great Taste Awards 2008.

The company won the NatWest Best Small Business Category and then went on to win the Jersey Telecom Best Business of the Year Award, 2007.  

La Mare was awarded the Jersey Enterprise Environmental Award in 2012.

La Mare also holds a Gold in the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
