Caught the number 7 bus to the vineyard and back. Loved the informative tour, our guide Carol was excellent. The tasting was great as got a selection of not only wines but ciders , liquers and even some chocolate and fudge ! We also booked the afternoon tea afterwards which was very enjoyable and filling !!! We pre booked to make sure we got the tour of our choice.

Extremely interesting tour presented in delightful surroundings. The presenter was well informed and handled many questions from the group well. This was my 4th tour but still learnt lots as, just like the environment changes over time, so does the presentation.
My friends also thought it was brilliant, not at all what they were expecting and came away wanting to recommend it to many. 😃

A great establishment. It’s easy to see why it’s so highly rated on TripAdvisor. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The venue itself is extremely well-kept and situated in a beautiful location.

The tour was informative, our guide John was humorous & saw to the needs of the group well, including involving the kids where appropriate. The tour itself provides a good cross selection of their produce, covering cider, wine, their Baileys-like spirit drink and confectionery. With preserves available to sample in the shop.

The cafe was serving a selection of fresh tasty cakes & scones when we visited in the afternoon. The full “afternoon tea” looked a little on the pricey side, but the “cream tea” was quite reasonable at £7/pp, and their draft cider tastes great and is extremely competitively priced (for a bar/cafe venue).

Parking was free and easy on site. Plus, there is a bus stop opposite the entrance for those who don’t have a designated driver.

Greeted by our hosts by our first names as soon as we entered reception, which was lovely. They gave us information regarding our tour and asked us to take a seat just inside the vinyard, where we were met the lovely Bob who was witty and very endearing, he gave us a few giggles whilst imparting his knowledge and we throughly enjoyed. Would totally recommend going for the premium package as we booked the standard via a link given at our accommodation and didn't realise there was other options so were a little disappointed when we were separated from the rest of the group at a particular point of the tour would of totally paid the extra if we were given the option. The jersey cider is so refreshing and recommend a glass whilst sat in the vinyard soaking up the sun.

We made a last minute decision to visit Jersey one sunny Sunday. Unfortunately, we had missed The Vineyard on our last trip to the island and were delighted to be able to visit this time. It absolutely fully meet our expectations, starting with the coffee on arrival, the compelling & informative tour of the distillery with the lovely Helen, all rounded off with a delicious and amazing value Sunday lunch. Both children and adults were made equally welcome, with games to enjoy - there were many families engaged with activities in the grounds. I would highly recommend this for entertainment value!!! Roger, the cockerel was a star not to miss.

Had a wonderful afternoon at La Mare Wine Estate. Started with a late lunch (asparagus soup) which was absolutely delicious. Then we took the tour with the lovely Katie. She was informative and made the whole experience fun. The wines / ciders we tried were really good as were the fudge and chocolate. The whole experience was great and I'd highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Jersey.

One hour visit and tasting. Informative and quite dense visit, but inappropriate for non-native English speakers. Much too fast even with fluent English. 25% loss of information. Damage.Visited on

We took part in a Premium tour which was very nice, not that informative about the wines themselves, but a pleasant way to spend an hour. We thought we would have a drink and some cake in their cafe afterwards, the wine was very nice however the cake was most definitely not. Very dry, clearly a few days old and we couldn’t finish it! Having said this the other food we saw looked delicious.

Beautiful winery and the wine tour was excellent (thank you Helen!). We also booked the sunday roast for after our tour and unfortunately the restaurant staff were completely disorganised...despite making a reservation, and paying a deposit for a specified time, we still had to queue for almost 15 minutes behind other casual diners and those ordering drinks at the bar, to place our order. Our premium wine tour included a drink afterwards and I needed to chase this twice. The vegetarian roast was pretty good, if you are interested in the meat option be aware that there is no choice of meat, you're simply served whatever they have prepared that day.
