I attended a gay professionals networking casino evening last Thursday organised by A City Law Firm LLP and sponsored by Alliotts Chartered Accountants Business Advisors. It took place in the Grosvenor Gloucester Road Casino and the sponsored charity was The Albert Kennedy Trust. The Trust offer an amazing hand to youths that have been made homeless due to their sexual orientation. It educates, mentors, protects and develops youths that would otherwise have no where left to go. An excess of £600 was raised through the raffle and some amazing prizes were donated including a fine dining voucher for two at the Goring Hotel as well as a unique painting provided by Artish Ilyas Kirkan who has held successful exhibitions in London, Copenhagen, Paris and Brighton. I was the lucky winner of this amazing piece of art named ‘Melting Ice’ ! Pink Weddings donated four signed copies of “Civil Partnership – A guide to the perfect day” by Gino and Mike Meriano, and Paul Burston donated a signed copies of his book, Gay Divorcee.
All in all a wonderful evening. Plenty of networking and exchanging of business cards took place and we were also given tuition by the casino with fake money on the tables.
