15th February 2016. Better – the UK’s largest network of public gyms and leisure centres is continuing its fundraising efforts for Sport Relief 2016 with staff and coaches at Kensington Leisure Centre in The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, committing to host fun activities for the whole family - including table tennis, junior street dance, Toddlers’ World soft play, face painting, swimming, karate, basketball, boxing and more on the 5th March from 10am – 4pm.

Our Better Coffee Corner will be selling homemade treats, and Spa London will be offering £2.00 manicures and the chance to win a 60 minute massage, all to raise cash for Sport Relief.

Better is the official health and fitness partner of Sport Relief 2016 and is inviting everyone across the UK to head down to their local Better leisure centre and join in the fun, with all funds raised going towards the £500,000 #TeamBetter pledge total.

Oliver Stacey, General Manager for Kensington Leisure Centre, said, “All staff at Kensington Leisure Centre are proud to present the Kensington Leisure Centre Open Day.”

“We’re inviting our members, staff and local residents to do themselves proud this Sport Relief and join TeamBetter to be part of the biggest fundraiser we’ve ever attempted. TeamBetter’s partnership with Sport Relief will help people living incredibly tough lives here in the UK and across the world’s poorest communities.”

As part of the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games, taking place Friday 18th – Sunday 20th March, Kensington Leisure Centre will be hosting the 2016 Sport Relief Swimathon. In preparation, the public are invited to head down to the centre in the coming weeks, where Better staff will be on hand to offer training tips and advice ahead of the Sport Relief weekend.
