I am no athlete and wouldn't call myself terribly fit but was able to partake in this year's Santa Run last Saturday in Battersea Park. This is my second year that I have been part of the charity fun run with some 2000 runners - each and everyone dressed as santa! I am proud to say that I now have two medals in my short running career!
There is a certain hilarity running with 2000 Santas and it must look even funnier for those watching with young children looking totally and utterly bewildered! The Santa Run is organised to raise funds for Disability Snowsport UK, a national charity that helps people with disabilities to access snowport. Adults and children with a range of disabilities including Down's syndrome, autism, visual impairment and cerebral palsy can access programmes throughout the uK to enable them to make friends, improve their confidence and have fun through asport which they would otherwise be excluded from. Take a look at the pictures and maybe this is something you would consider doing next year. I certainly will!
