"The Buttery" is a family run restaurant in a unique setting located close to Kettering in the Northamptonshire countryside.

Set in a beautitful barn conversion decorated in the New England style, the restaurant has an informal, relaxed atmosphere, in keeping with our rural location. It's the ideal place to meet up with friends, hold a business lunch or enjoy Sunday lunch with the family.

The Buttery restaurant offers traditional wholesome, home-cooked food which is made to order. Our substantial menu includes snacks and full meals, traditional Sunday lunch, cream teas and hand-made cakes. So whatever time you call there is something for everyone.

Since it first opened, the Buttery restaurant has appealed to all age groups - young people looking for an out-of-Kettering meeting place, young families wanting a fun day out in the fresh air, and older people enjoying their retirement.

During the summer months, the Buttery restaurant opens its doors onto a super outdoor eating area within a beautiful lawned garden perfect for families to enjoy a day out.

Our restaurant welcomes families and a special menu is available to satisfy small, but hungry appetites. There is also a children's play area, with swings, slides and picnic benches at the front of the Buttery.

Hot Food and Lunches

In Buttery restaurant we aim to source as many of our ingredients as possible from local producers this also helps assure us of the best quality, fresh produce used to create our dishes.

We put a modern twist on some traditional dishes, so we are sure you will be pleasantly surprised when you browse the menu!

Traditional English Tea Room

We are rightly well known for our cream teas, including a fantastic selection of hand-made cakes and scones, not forgetting the strawberry jam! Many would agree that this is the perfect accompaniment to a relaxing afternoon in the English countryside.
