Called up and spoke to Stuart who confirmed they are dog friendly and reserved us a table between the restaurant and bar. We struggled to find a place which allowed dogs and also had table for 4 adults and 2 children. Upon arriving, Stuart recognised our group from the conversation we had over the phone. He was very personable and friendly, as was our waitress. I had the turkey bacon stuffing pie and it was absolutely amazing. The menu had variety and food was reasonably priced. Also kids eat free in January. Everybody in our group agreed it was well worth the visit and that We're definately coming back!!!

After two hours driving from Ipswich I stuck in Google 'pubs around me' and The Wheatsheaf came up so I drove my campervan straight there as was the nearest. What a fab welcome I had as soon as I walked in. Asked if they still did food at 8.35 and yes they did til 9pm. I peggedit back to my van to change as just finished work and sat down to a cold beer and a rib eye steak cooked medium rare. It came as I ordered ( hard to find these days) and full of flavour.

Very friendly staff and I was told to park my campervan in the car park and to stay there no problem at all. Another beer then 😁 and of course a cheese board. Great selection of cheeses and brilliant atmosphere in the pub. Great stuff.
