9 new wind turbines at Burton Latimer.
A £45m extension to the wind farm near Burton Latimer.
The nine new 130m-high turbines are now almost finished will help power more than 11,000 homes as part of the Kettering Energy Park at Burton Wold.
First Renewable who has built them has also outlined their plans for a solar array in the area.
Kettering Council’s regeneration man Cllr Derek Zanger said: “It is good to see the borough of Kettering at the forefront of renewable energy.”
Competition to name wind turbines.
Kettering Council is working in association with the developer First Renewable and talking to local schools to help come up with names for these new wind turbines.
The competition for schools in the borough will be run over the next few weeks, with a winner to be announced before the beginning of the summer holidays.
